“For more than 50 years, the Scottish Rite Foundation of Colorado has contributed immeasurably to the welfare of children, families, and communities throughout our state. With Foundation support, communities have developed programs for the identification and treatment of children with language disorders. Children who receive early treatment for language disorders develop communication competence leading to learning readiness, academic achievement, healthy social-emotional growth, and enhanced family and peer relationships. By making early intervention available in community-based programs, the Scottish Rite Foundation reduces the impact of communication disorders on hundreds of Colorado children each year. Since 1953, the lives of more than 12,500 children and their families have been enriched by the Scottish Rite Foundation.”
