2016 National RiteCare Conference
Denver, Colorado
October 13 - 15, 2016

This biennial conference of RiteCare Speech, Language, and Literacy Programs provides an opportunity for speech-language pathologists, literacy and dyslexia specialists, audiologists, graduate students, parents, and Scottish Rite leaders to further the education and mission of RiteCare affiliated clinics, hospitals, and university speech-language programs: "To help children communicate."

The 2016 conference featured sessions on recent research and clinical implications for treatment of children with speech, language, reading, writing, and learning delays as well as information on program development, fundraising, and outcome measurement. Participants enjoyed nine hours of educational sessions on topics ranging from augmentative-alternative communication, telepractice, family empowerment, controversial therapies, multiple-deficit model of dyslexia, emergent writing, community engagement, coalition building, and family perspectives, among others. Sessions were scheduled in three concurrent tracks: Speech-Language, Literacy, and Executive Management. A vibrant social program fostered participant interaction with new friends and colleagues from throughout the country.
